White House
The guiding aesthetic for the White house was American Southwest/adobe. Main floor walls are 10" AAC (Aerated Autoclaved Concrete--a light-weight, pumice-like block). The main floor ceiling is all cathedral and insulated with nailbase panels (like SIPs but without one skin of plywood), supported by glulam rafters on six foot centers.
